Album Review: Curren$y "New Jet City"

Curren$y starts the year off right w/ the release of the highly anticipated "New Jet City". The mixtapes kicks of on a high w/ the title track "New Jet City". Jadakiss sounds at home along side Spita on his features track "Clear". Wiz Khalifa & Rick Ross shine bright on "Choosin" but Spitta keeps up & in my opinion out shines the stars. W/ lines like "Chief exporter of this audio dope" and "They so persistent w/ they ignorance I'm so consistent w/ the shit I give" on "Sixteen Switches Part 2" & "Three 60" respectively he shows he hasn't lost his touch. Through out the mixtape Spitta prices this to be his best project to date only behind "Covert Coup". Personally I feel it's his nonchalant attitude and flawless flow over dope production that holds project together. The lowest point on the project has to be the French Montana assisted "These Bitches" were they couldn't recapture there once great chemistry. Up and comer Trinidad James stops by to ruin a flawless track w/ R&B crooner Lloyd playing the hook. All in all the good out weighs the bad ad Spitta adds another classic to his extensive catalog.
